Power Trip Accessibility Guide

Power Trip welcomes all people with disabilities. We are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure attendees have access to all festival goods and services, regardless of ability.

Eligibility

It is not acceptable to fake or exaggerate a disability to gain access to disability accommodations. Our ADA department has finite resources and needs to focus these resources on helping those who legitimately require assistance.

Purchasing ADA Tickets

Tickets go on sale at 10:00am PDT on Thursday, April 6. Please visit powertrip.live/tickets to purchase tickets at that time. On the order page, there will be an option to request accessible seating, which will be available at all price levels. Each disabled guest can request companion tickets, as well as camping, RV spaces and/or shuttle passes. If you are having issues purchasing ADA reserved seating, you may contact AXS Support online or at 855-295-9888 for assistance.

Reserved Seating Accessible Viewing Areas

There will be accessible seating for every price range of reserved seating (price range $799 to $1,599 – fees not included). Accessible seating is located throughout areas with clear sight-lines so that one may see the stage over a standing crowd while seated.

General Admission Accessible Viewing Areas

Elevated platforms for ADA attendees and their one companion who may need to see above the crowd will be made available. You do not need to purchase ADA seating in GA or pre-reserve space on the Accessible Viewing Area. For information on how to gain access to these areas, please visit us at an Accessibility Services Hub.

RULES

  • Companions may be asked to stand in the back of the viewing area if capacity is reached.
  • Viewing Areas are non-smoking
  • Attendees are not allowed to save spots.
  • If an attendee is not-present for over an hour, their area will be given to another guest with a disability.
  • Do not block the view of the guests behind you
  • All seating is first come, first served.

Accessibility Services Hubs

There are multiple Accessibility Services locations conveniently located throughout the festival to support and address the needs of all attendees with accessibility needs. Please check back closer to the event for specific locations.

There is no ADA pre-event registration other than for ADA Camping. Registration for event services is all done onsite at the event.

At an Accessibility Services Hub, you can:

  • Get your ADA wristband credential.
  • Have your ADA questions answered.
  • Learn about all accessibility services.

ADA Wristband

Attendees with disabilities wishing to utilize some of the accessibility services at Power Trip will be required to wear an ADA Wristband. This wristband is acquired onsite at one of our Accessibility Services locations.

  • ADA Wristbands are good for the duration of the festival.
  • DO NOT remove your wristband for the duration of the festival.
  • One (1) ADA Companion Wristband will be issued per patron with a disability.
  • Additional Wristbands may be issued for families with young children.

If an attendee with a disability wants to switch their companion, a new ADA Companion Wristband can be exchanged by bringing the old companion wristband back to an Accessibility Services Hub to be reissued.

Mobility Disabilities

We encourage patrons with mobility disabilities to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters. Crutches, walkers and canes are also permitted. Please note that we will not be renting assisted mobility devices onsite.

ACCESSIBLE ROUTES
The Venue is navigable for people with mobility disabilities. Please be advised that the venue’s terrain is grass. Guests will need to traverse throughout the event grounds between stages independently or with the assistance of a companion as the festival does not provide transportation inside the venue.

CHARGING
If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair or other medical equipment, you may do so at the Accessibility Services Hub outside of the main entrance.

  • Bring all cords and accessories needed to charge your devices.
  • Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.
  • We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.

Parking

Please check back closer to the event for more information about Accessible Parking.

ADA RV/Camping

To register for an ADA camping/RV spot, please fill out our ADA Camping/RV Registration Form.

Accessible camping locations are available for those with accessibility needs. Accessible camping/RV spots provide easier access to mobility pathways, shuttles, accessible restrooms, and accessible showers. There will be ADA Camping spots in each sold camping/RV ticket tier. We highly suggest reserving an ADA Camping Spot in advance.

AVAILABILITY

  • Accessible camping/RV spots are available on a first come, first served basis when not reserved.
  • Registering helps us prepare for your group and plan our accessible camping/RV areas.
  • Limited spots will be available to unregistered RV/campers onsite, but are not guaranteed.

VERIFICATIONS

To utilize ADA Camping, you must have:

  • Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license plate.
  • DMV-issued documentation that accompanies the Disabled Person Parking placard, permit or license, and corresponding ID.
  • The person to whom the placard, permit or license plate is issued to must be present at check-in to Camping.

Hotel Shuttles

Accessible shuttles are available for guests with disabilities traveling from designated hotels to the venue. ADA guests are strongly encouraged to reach out to Valley Music Travel by phone or email to request an accessible shuttle in advance.

Concierge Line: (888) 833-1031
Email: info@valleymusictravel.com

If requesting in advance is not possible, guests with disabilities can request an accessible shuttle by speaking to the shuttle representative present at their hotel. Upon arrival at the Empire Polo Grounds, ADA guests who require transportation assistance to the main entrance can wait for a ride at the ADA Shuttle Stop Tent in the lobby of the Hotel Shuttles lot.

Effective Communication

INTERPRETERS & ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • American Sign Language interpreters will be available for performances.
  • Closed captioning, braille/large font print, guided tours, or other forms of effective communication can be available upon request.

Requests for these services must be emailed to us at least 30 days prior to the event to allow for sufficient preparation. To submit a request, please fill out the Effective Communication Request Form.

The deadline for requesting effective communication is September 6, 2023.

  • Pets are not allowed and will be turned away.
  • Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.
  • Service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered.
  • If these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal or other effective controls.

Accessible Cart Service

Accessible Cart service to and from ride-share, parking, hotels shuttles, and the venue's entrances and exits will be available for our attendees with disabilities who need it. Please be aware that our carts only operate on the periphery of the event grounds due to public safety and do not drive inside the event grounds.

  • An ADA Wristband issued by an Accessibility Services Hub is required to utilize this service.
  • Please check back closer to the event for specific pick-up/drop off locations.
  • Wait times may be as long as 40 minutes due to heavy volume.
  • ADA carts are also available for transport to ADA showers and ADA camping/RV spots.

Concessions

All concessions are accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required, please confer with a festival staff member.

Medical

Several fully-equipped medical sites staffed by trained personnel are located throughout the festival to manage any issue. Check the venue maps for exact locations.

Medications

All prescription medications must be in the original manufacturer container with your name on it, which matches your government-issued photo ID. Please only bring a sufficient amount of medication for the duration of the event. Your medications must be cleared by the medical team at the event entry. Upon entry, ask for a crowd management supervisor to connect you with a member of the medical team.

Dietary Needs

Power Trip will have food vendors that provide gluten-free and dairy-free dietary options. For those with special dietary needs beyond the festival food service, please contact us at ada@powertrip.live for further information.

Additional Service Requests

Goldenvoice will consider any request by an attendee with a disability for reasonable modification of its policies, practices or procedures or for auxiliary aids and services that will permit the attendee equal enjoyment of the goods and services offered at the Festival. We encourage you to make any such request as far in advance as possible to enhance our ability to evaluate and fulfill the request.

In continually trying to make our festival more accessible, we encourage you to contact us at ada@powertrip.live for any of your accessibility-related needs. Additionally, if you have any questions about ADA policies or our services, please reach out to us.

Please note that it may take up to two business days (weekends not included) to receive a response. During the week of the event, you can expect a response within 24 hours. If you are already onsite at the event and require assistance, please visit any of our Accessibility Services Hubs onsite to receive direct assistance.
